Welcome to GM Artist Hub.
Made up of 15 local arts organisations, Greater Manchester Artist Hub (GMAH) was formed in April 2020 as a response to the pandemic to support the development of independent artists and creatives. Organisations pooled skills, expertise, and available resources to find ways to continue to deliver support during an unprecedented time.
Over the past 3 years GMAH has offered invaluable advice, training, development, and support to over 500 local creative freelancers via 1-2-1- sessions, online workshops, and discussions.
As the arts sector continues to recover from the pandemic and other ongoing challenges, organisations will now revert to delivering support individually through their own established in-house programmes and artist development offers rather than via the GMAH umbrella.
As such, from July 2023 GMAH will cease activity, although artists are still welcome to connect with individual organisations through the details on the “Who We Are” section of the GMAH website, and the GMAH Facebook Page will continue to be updated with news and opportunities.
We would like to thank all the artists, freelancers, funders, supporters and colleagues who supported and championed GMAH over the past three years.
Everyone involved in GMAH is proud of the support offered during very difficult times and remains as committed as ever to supporting artists. We will continue to listen and respond to individual, collective, and sector-wide conversations and look forward to continuing to work with our industry colleagues and building on the foundations laid by our time working together in GMAH.
