DYCP Guidance (Aug 2022 onwards).

Watch our in-depth look at DYCP (recorded 3 August 2022)

Developing Your Creative Practice (DYCP) is Arts Council England (ACE)’s funding programme to support individuals who are cultural & creative practitioners and want to take time to focus on their creative development:

“DYCP is open to independent creative and cultural practitioners. It supports you to take time to focus on your creative or cultural development and take you to the next stage of your practice.”

“DYCP supports individual cultural and creative practitioners ready to take their practice to the next stage through things such as: research, time to create new work, travel, training, developing ideas, networking, and mentoring.”

February 2023 update: ACE have increased how much can you apply for to £12,000 alongside some other changes.

DYCP is open for applications approximately four times a year.

ACE host regular information webinars for DYCP & NLPG applicants — find dates & book on the ACE North eventbrite page.

DYCP In-Depth Group Session.

On 3 August 2022 we held an in-depth small group session with Tamsin Drury (hÅb) to explore an approach to DYCP; the journey you need to show you will be taking; and the differences between DYCP & NLPG. She was joined by guest artists Kelly Munro-Fawcett, Megan Marie Griffith & Tania Camara, who’ve each successfully applied to DYCP, to talk about their approach.
A recording is available on You Tube, also embedded to the left/above.
Download the word documents referred to in the recording: just questions; questions + notes.
